Tracey Cairns

Tracey is a non-clinical Therapeutic Art Practitioner with a love for creating kintsugi-inspired art.  

She respects what kintsugi stands for;  the beauty of imperfection - and its positive aspects 

of rebuilding, growth and strength. 

Through her modern art approach, Tracey wants to help others feel the value in kintsugi's profound meaning.  "You don't have to be perfect 

to be beautiful".  

Her goal is to have fun while creating a treasured one-of-a-kind art piece with you that will carry forever kintsugi's positive message.   

Tracey offers private lessons at her home studio and group lessons in the workplace. 

Thought conversation and craft, Tracey will take you through the creative steps needed to patiently break, bond and beautifully illuminate by hand a vessel or bowl of your choice.  

By request, Tracey can also be commissioned to create kintsugi-styled pieces designed to her client's wishes. 

Bowls and vessels are her specialty and they make stunning presents during the holiday season, for birthday & anniversary celebrations - and are very symbolic for those who have survived challenging life experiences. 

Tracey's character strengths are: Honesty, Humour, Hope, Kindness and Appreciation of Beauty & Excellence.  

After 15 years in the dynamic IT/software industry, Tracey launched WomenAide www.womenaide.com a not-for-profit distributor of personal care products to women's shelters in Ontario. Supported by volunteers,  it has a 16-year record of helping women out of abusive households. 

Along with her undergraduate degree, Tracey was awarded a certification in Positive Psychology from Wilfred Laurier University and completed "The Science of Well Being" at Yale.  

She loves Fiat 500's, shiba inus, golf, Wordle & Scrabble, Montreal bagels,  mini-putts, gardening and the beauty of Japanese koi ponds.
